A case report about pain relief using our technology has been published in “European review for medical and pharmacological sciences”.

It has been published that human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell (hAD-MSC) manufactured by our technology has therapeutic effect on musculoskeletal pain. Musculoskeletal pain is an impornat phenomenon that signals injury or malfunction of internal organs, however, excessive pain is too painful and leads to a decline in quality of life (QOL).
Sun Field Clinic (SFC), one of the clinics belonging to Medical corporation Miki-kai, has recently reported the results about musculoskeletal pain treatment with conditioned medium derived from hAD-MSC (AD-CM) cultured with our cell culture technology. AD-CM, as well as hAD-MSC, has been expected to be effective against musculoskeletal pain. In fact, a number of research papers about the efficacy of MSC conditioned medium on various types of pain has been published. In this report from SFC, 2 – 5 mL of AD-CM was administrated locally into 16 patients who suffer from shoulder periarthritis, knee osteoarthritis or lower back pain, and so on. Numerical rating Scale (NRS) test demonstrated remarkable pain reduction among AD-CM administrated patients. Intriguingly, significant pain reduction was observed within 15 minutes after AD-CM administration, and the analgestic effect had been lasting for at least 4 weeks. This case report suggests the possibity about new therapy against various intractable pain.
